Well, hello! Welcome to my world! Let me introduce myself. Meet your new favorite photographer! All kidding aside, I have always been a creative type, but mostly held corporate-type positions in quality improvement and consulting. Before I moved to Asheville in 2010 to leave my corporate job for the life of an innkeeper, I was a casual hobby photographer. I had studied photography years ago when I was in a graphic design program, so I had a skill set based in the film world, but had already made the painful transition to digital photography and “darkroom” (now called “post production”) processing.
During the years that I owned and operated my bed and breakfast (picture 1885 Victorian mansion on 12 acres with six cabins), necessity took over and I began photographing the inn and grounds for my website. It was a great opportunity to delve into photographing interiors, lighting, and post production techniques. After I sold my bed and breakfast in late 2014, I transitioned into real estate photography, which brings me to where I am today. I specialize in commercial and residential real estate photography, aerial photography, as well as event photography. (Corporate events, parties, graduations, etc. Sorry! I do not photograph weddings.)
Along the way I have invested in improving my skills by attending a full three-day onsite course in photographing luxury real estate in Southern California, taught by the notable Rich Baum and Marc Weisberg. In 2017, I purchased a drone and turned my attention to flight school and ground school training. I passed my FAA exam and became a certified UAS (drone) pilot, allowing me to safely and legally fly for commercial purposes. Since then, I have photographed a number of homes, commercial properties, and land for sale in the area.
Thank you for stopping by! If you are just finding me, I sincerely want to be your new fave. If you you have used my services in the past, please visit my Google business page and leave a review. I would appreciate it!
